Abstract
THE depressing effect of measles on tuberculin sensitivity and its possible adverse effect on the clinical course of tuberculosis has been recognized for years.1 More recently, similar changes in tuberculin reactivity have been observed during gamma-globulin-attenuated and vaccine measles as well as during chicken pox.2 3 4 5 The question arises how many other naturally occurring or vaccine virus infections alter the tuberculin reaction, and, if so, whether they can adversely affect the course of tuberculosis. To provide answers to this query, we introduced the widely used Sabin Type 1 poliovirus vaccine into a closely supervised ward of tuberculous children receiving specific antituberculous . . .This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
