Abstract
The [alpha]-melanocyte-stimulating hormone from pituitary glands has been shown to be an N-acetyltridecapeptide amide of the following structure: CH3-CO-Ser. [image] The amino acid sequence in [alpha]-melanocyte-stimulating hormone is shown to be identical with that of the N-terminal tridecapeptide sequence in corticotropin. Keywords
