Abstract
The cross sections for charge transfer and electron production in collisions between hydrogen atoms and hydrogen negative ions () have been measured over the energy range 100 to 40 000 ev using modulated atomic-beam techniques in a crossed-beam experiment. Agreement of the experimental results with the perturbed-stationary-states calculation for charge transfer of Dalgarno and McDowell is quite satisfactory.
