Abstract
An extended three-dimensional simulation of electromagnetic cascades in heavy absorbers has been carried out up to 300 GeV. The results are compared in the central region with electromagnetic cascades induced by the FNAL electron beam and the consequences on multiple Coulomb scattering are considered. At ultra-high energy (106 GeV), predictions on cascade behaviour taking the Landau-Pomeranchuk-Migdal effect into account are presented. Keywords
