Abstract
The area studied is compared to that of Cardigan Bay as to climate, tidal range and exposure to surf. The Littorina, Balanoid and Laminarian zones are descr. The Balanoid zone occurs in 5 forms, some of which are also present at Cardigan Bay. The cryptofaunal community includes a large no. of spp., the majority of which are rare or absent in Cardigan Bay. The same is true of the Laminarian zone. The reasons for the relatively poor development of the Cardiganshire coast are discussed. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
