Abstract
The critical angular momentum for complete fusion is calculated using the classical dynamical theory. Ion-ion potentials as suggested by the Berkeley and Orsay groups are used. Reasonable agreement between the calculated and measured values of the critical angular momentum is obtained. Keywords
