Abstract
Several frequency shifters using electrooptic TE/TM conversion in LiNbO3have already been described.1−3They used classical orientations of the crystal, and, as the birefringence is large (~0.1), the optical bandwidth is small (~10 Å). The frequency shifting effect is obtained using a collinear interaction with a set of finger electrodes driven by a multiphase electrical signal to generate unidirectional index wave. Keywords
