Abstract
Direct excitation of v = 6 of the OH stretching overtone vibration in tert‐Butylhydroperoxide combined with time‐resolved laser induced fluorescence determination of the OH fragments produces a direct measurement of the unimolecular decay rate an overtone spectrum of the OH stretching vibration as well as an excitation spectrum of the OH product fragments. This technique also holds the possibility of determining the effect of excitation site on the unimolecular decay process by exciting overtones at different locations in the molecule. Keywords
