Abstract
Fruits of Black Valentine and Asgrow strains of beans grown in the field and in greenhouse, sprayed with various concns. of p-chlorophenoxyacetic acid growth regulator in 1% Tween 20 (solubilizer), show slower rate of decrease in vit. C concn. and higher terminal vit. C content after 4 or 9 days storage after harvesting, than did controls; after storage, experimentals contained an average of 66% more vitamin.Keywords
