Abstract
The fungus Haplosporangium parvum infects the lungs of rodents and other small mammals in southwestern United States. A similar fungus has been found in mammals in northern states, Canada, Korea, England, and Norway. This paper reports the finding of spherules characteristic of Haplosporangium in the rodents Eothenomys smithii and Apodemus speciosus in Japan and in a rodent Cricetomys sp. and a carniovore Ictonyx sp. in Africa. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
