Abstract
The detection sensitivity of porous microphones is investigated theoretically. The superfluid enhancement of the membrane's spring constant is found to be the effect that limits the sensitivity. Ways to minimize or circumvent it are proposed and compared with each other. Under favorable circumstances, an increase in the signal by three orders of magnitude is possible. Keywords
