Abstract
Cirrhosis of the liver was produced in 20 male rats by the injection of carbontetrachloride twice a week for four months. The voluntary consumption of alcohol in the rats with cirrhosis, as measured with the autoselection technique, was found to be four times as great as in a control group of normal rats. Keywords
