Abstract
The solubility of pentachlorophenol (PCP) in pure water and alcohol–water mixtures at pH = 2.5 and 5.0 at 25°C are reported. The use of the two-suffix Margules equation and UNIFAC to predict these effects is ascertained. The implications of these observations with respect to the solvent sublation of PCP in the presence of alcohol resulting from the redissolution of the organic solvent is also described.Keywords
