Abstract
Total serum fatty acids and the fatty acid composition of serum cholesterol esters were analyzed in 11 patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) and 11 healthy controls. No significant decrease of linoleic acid was found in the patients with multiple sclerosis in any of the 2 pools of fatty acids studied. The triene/tetraene ratio a criterion of essential fatty acid deficiency did not seem to characterize the MS pathology. This publication has 20 references indexed in Scilit:
