Abstract
The prevalence rale of lung bullae during a seven-month survey in Philadelphia’s Central Mass Radiography Unit was approximately 1.2 per 1,000 persons who were x-rayed. Rates were highest in older Negro men (6.8 per 1,000), Became of the relatively high prevalence rate which approximates that of primary lung cancer, further study of lung bullae is warranted in order to determine its causation and the relationship of bullae to other diseases. Keywords
