Abstract
Total body perfusion is simple when contemplated by a simple mind. It gets complicated by the fruitful brain storms of surgeons. As soon as they convince themselves that the skill required to close an intra-cardiac defect is not greater than the skill required for an exploratory laparotomy, the problem of total body perfusion will be viewed from a more realistic angle. The celestial awe inspired by the heart surgeon will then cease to exist. Keywords
