Abstract
A self-consistent extended Hückel theory has been constructed. A new off-diagonal approximation is presented. Results from calculations using the consistent extended Hückel method compare favorably to extended Hückel, iterative extended Hückel, CNDO, nonempirical, and experimental results. Keywords
