Abstract
Immunoglobulin [Ig] levels of individual classes and IgG subclasses, and the occurrence of homogeneous Ig (paraproteins) were studied longitudinally in the sera of 3 patients with the Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome. Common findings in all 3 patients were great variations in the Ig levels, restricted heterogeneity of the Ig, the frequent appearance of transient homogeneous Ig and the presence of serum antibodies against bovine milk proteins. A partial and selective deficiency involving mainly the T [thymus-derived cell] immune system is postulated as an explanation for these findings. This publication has 16 references indexed in Scilit:
