Ferromagnetism in laser deposited anatase Ti$_{1-x}$Co$_{x}$O$_{2-$δ$}$ films

Abstract
Pulsed laser deposited films of Co-doped anatase TiO2 are examined for cobalt substitutionality, ferromagnetism, and transport properties. We find minimal substitutionality of Co, and a very high Curie temperature (TC) of ~ 1180 K. This high TC and the observed peculiar correlation between the transport and magnetism are not typical of a simple carrier induced mechanism of ferromagnetism.
