Abstract
SUMMARY: A study is presented of the use of a percutaneous transaxillary approach for various types of arteriographic investigation in 57 patients over a period of 14 months, using equipment identical with that long in use at the Royal Melbourne Hospital for renal arteriography. Technical difficulties likely to be encountered in certain groups of patients in whom the method may be required are emphasized, and suggestions offered for coping with them. The nature and incidence of complications are noted. Indications for the method are defined in light of these potential difficulties and complications. This publication has 19 references indexed in Scilit:
