Abstract
An attempt has been made to evaluate the quantitative differences in the karyotypes of Erianthus clones possessing twenty somatic chromosomes utilizing D2 analysis. The karyotypes of E. elephantinus and E. munja were very much differentiated from each other. In contrast E. ravennae and E. elephantinus have almost similar karyotypes. Clones belonging to E. ravennae collected from Turkmenistan have very much differentiated karyotypes. The significance of these observations are discussed. Keywords
