Abstract
A reproducible generalized or focal arthritis, synovitis, periostitis and tendonitis was induced in rats by intracutaneous injections of a Freund-type adjuvant which was most potent when macerated striated muscle tissue was added to the inoculum. The pathogenetic mechanisms underlying production of these changes is at present unclear. Keywords
