Abstract
The Takata-Ara reaction, the colloidal gold test, the thymol turbidity test, the alkaline phosphatase level, the serum protein level, and the amt. of bilirubin were tested in a no. of patients suffering from infective hepatitis and obstructive jaundice. The colloidal gold reaction and thymol turbidity test were more frequently positive in patients with infective hepatitis than in those with obstructive jaundice. The serum alkaline phosphatase was higher in patients with obstructive jaundice than in those with infective hepatitis. Keywords
