Abstract
Streptomycin sulfate at the rate of 100 [mu]g./ml. was added to bull semen diluted in egg yolk-citrate-sulfanilamide and used in routine artificial breeding. This was a split sample study in which 2340 cows were inseminated with control semen and 2379 with semen containing streptomycin. The portions treated with streptomycin showed an 8.7 non-return % increase as compared to the controls. In general, ejaculates of low initial fertility responded more to treatment than did ejaculates of high initial fertility. Keywords
