Abstract
The spectrum and the angular distribution of gamma rays from deformed liquid-drop nuclei are calculated. It is shown that the angular distribution changes when the equilibrium shapes change from oblate spheroids rotating about the minor axis to prolate spheroids rotating around one of their minor axes. Keywords
