Abstract
Twenty-two samples from successive levels through 66 feet of the Grayson formation (Cretaceous) contain tests of Foraminifera in numbers ranging from 1500 to more than 100,000/cm3. The foraminiferal assemblages were classified by genera and families, and comparison was made with Lowman''s studies on distr. of different families of Foraminifera at different depths beneath the present Gulf of Mexico. Results were compatible with depth-trends interpreted from lithology, megafossils, and geologic structure. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
