Abstract
Diverse explanatory conflict models and intervention strategies reflect key perceptual/attributional choices. Two key choices are used as organizing devices to identify four broad perspectives upon conflict: external process, external structural, internal process, and internal structural. Diagnostic concepts and intervention strategies from the literature are summarized to illustrate each perspective. Keywords
