Abstract
The differential detn of human Hb and Mgb in a mixture of both pigments can be made with good accuracy, using the Beckman spectrophotometer. Accurate spectrophotometric constants for the CO compounds of Hb and Mgb between 600 and 520 m[mu] and for the reduced pyridine hemochromogens formed from these substances are the basis of the method. A method for obtaining suitable extracts from human heart and skeletal muscle-tissue is described. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
