Abstract
The oxidation product of sulfanilamide excreted by rabbits was isolated and proved to be 3-hydroxy-4-aminobenzenesulfonamide, excreted as ethereal sulfate. When 3-hydroxysulfanilamide was fed to rabbits, it was excreted partly in conjugation with glucuronic acid and as sulfanilamide and as acetylsulfanilamide. The u.-v. absorption spectrum of azoxybenzene-4:4[image]-disulfamide was recorded. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
