Abstract
We use chiral Lagrangians to study the nonresonant production of longitudinally polarized vector bosons through gluon fusion at pp colliders. We compute the contributions induced by loops of colored pseudo Goldstone bosons and colored fermions. We find that the resulting cross sections potentially dominate the standard-model predictions and provide an important probe of the electroweak-symmetry-breaking sector. Keywords
