Abstract
Catechol at equimolecular concentration inhibits the inactivation of adrenaline by O-methyltransferase in vitro about 50 percent. The inhibition is probably responsible for the sensitization of smooth muscles to epinephrine by various ortho di- or triphenols. Keywords
