Abstract
An equation is derived which expresses the off-energy-shell matrix elements of the interaction in a form analogous to the phase-shift expansion for elastic scattering. "Quasiphase parameters" which play the role of phase shifts in this expression are calculated from phenomenological potentials. bremsstrahlung, with gamma rays observed perpendicular to the scattering plane of the incident proton, is discussed as a process which may permit experimental study of these parameters.
