Abstract
The concentration and synthesis of dolichol was studied in testis and epididymis. In the rat, dolichol concentration is highest in the caput and corpus epididymidis, and concentrations in testis and all parts of the epididymis are higher than in rat liver. Uptake of 2-[14C]-mevalonic acid into dolichols separated by high performance liquid chromatography mirrors dolichol concentration in the organs studied, with greatest incorporation into dolichols in the corpus epididymidis. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
