Abstract
The rate of restoration of liver phospholipids, especially cardiolipin, during liver regeneration after two-thirds partial hepatectomy, was studied. Preoperative content of cardiolipin was not restored during the first week of regeneration, while this was the case for the other major liver phospholipids. The observations are discussed in relation to the morphogenesis of mitochondria during liver regeneration. Keywords
