Abstract
Malayomaorica malayomaorica (Krumbeck) (s.s.) and Inoceramus cf. haasti Hochstetter are recorded in situ from the northern shore of Tawharanui Peninsula. They indicate an Ohauan (Middle Kimmeridgian) age for the Waipapa Group at this locality. The bivalves are associated with the ichnofossil Rhizocorallium, which possibly indicates a shallow infra littoral environment of deposition. Keywords
