Abstract

The ground-state transition is observed in the double-charge-exchange reaction

{}^{48}{Ca}

(

{}^{18}O

,

{}^{18}C

)

{}^{48}{Ti}

at 100 MeV. A mass excess of 24.82 ± 0.30 MeV is measured for

{}^{18}C

.
