Abstract
The bound-state three-body system, with two of the particles charged, is considered using two approximamate forms of the Coulomb Green's function . The nuclear potential between each pair is assumed to be of the separable -wave form. The binding energy of the model system is calculated numerically for each of the two approximations for the Coulomb Green's function, and these results are compared with a first-order perturbation calculation.
