Abstract
A common phlebitis involving many veins, occurs in Central Africa and seems to affect mainly young African males who have apparantly been in previous good health. Pyrexia almost always accompanies such attacks. Whether this type of phlebitis is a separate entity (tropical phlebitis) or is only one phase of a much more complicated group of vascular conditions, is as yet undetd. Keywords
