Abstract
5 to 30 µg. (-)adrenaline and 0.15 to 1.0 ug. (±)isoprenaline /100 g. had antidiuretic, and 50 to 200 µg. (-)adrenaline and 3 to 5 µg. (-)noradrenaline/100 g. body weight had diuretic action when injected subcutaneously into conscious rats. The anti-diuretic action of adrenaline was not, abolished by adrenalectoiny, by removal of the posterior lobe of the hypophysis, by partial hepatectomy or by section of afferent nerves from the injection site. It was diminished by hypnotic drugs. Keywords
