Abstract
Addition of salt or the use of cooling during the utilization of the cyanhematin method of hemoglobin measurement permits results in the tropics comparable with those obtained through the use of the alkaline hematin method of Clegg and King (1942). The acid method is quicker than the alkaline one, and as modified, just as accurate. Keywords
