Abstract
An admixture of propofol and alfentanil provides adequate sedation and analgesia during transvaginal oocyte retrieval in the absence of a paracervical block. In 100 patients the technique provided haemodynamic stability, sedation which was easily controlled, rapid recovery and universal patient acceptance. Keywords
