Abstract
The treatment of two protected β-D-glycosyl azides by N-bromosuccinimide in refluxing carbon tetrachloride under free-radical conditions leads to efficient preparations of the corresponding bromoimino derivatives via an unprecedented reaction of organic azides leading, in the present case, to new sugar derivatives.Keywords
