Abstract
Twenty compounds were tested against the egg and adult stages of the mite and the larvae of the beetle. Opt. acaracidal activity occurred in compounds with one or more rings substituted with Cl in the para position. Ovicidal properties were greatest where both rings were substituted with Cl in the para positions (4-chlorophenyl ester of 4-chlorobenzoic acid). The phenyl benzoates investigated were not sufficiently toxic to the beetle larva to make possible a correlation of insecticidal activity and chemical structure. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
