Abstract
The autoionisation of the Rydberg series Ca I 3dnp 1P1 (n>or=5) was studied by a photoionisation experiment using the synchrotron radiation facility of the Berlin electron storage ring (BESSY) and the atomic beam technique. Special attention was given to the line shape of these double electron resonances for a critical comparison with recent ab initio calculations (R-matrix method and many-body perturbation theory). Keywords
