Abstract
Brucella organisms from swine and humans were identified on the basis of their oxidative metabolism, their growth patterns on media containing basic fuchsin and thionin and their H2S production as a biotype of Ba suis. Their correct identification is important to understanding the epidemiology of brucellosis.Keywords
