Abstract
Production of the H(2p) state in collisions of H+ with Na (3s) has been investigated by the detection of Lalpha photons in the ion impact energy range 1-20 keV. In addition, first results on Lalpha production in electron capture from laser-excited Na*(3p) by H+ are presented. The experimental results are compared with recent calculations based on AO and MO expansion models. Keywords
