Abstract
93 ovariectomized golden hamsters were given 374 injns. of estrogen over a wide range of dosages, but only 28 of these injns. induced estrus. Estrus was however induced regularly by the injn. of 10 [gamma] of estrogen followed in 24-48 hrs. by the injn. of 0.05-0.5 mg. of progesterone. The estrus response following estrogen-progesterone admn. was of longer duration than following estrogen alone and resembled estrus in the normal [female].Keywords
