Abstract
Examination of the physiological activity of flavonoids in relation to their antiscorbutic properties shows that some of these compounds, the flavan-3=ols, have a particular nutritional impact and consequently should be distinguished from the rest of the flavonoids and polyphenolds. Therefore, the use of the term ‘Vitamin P’ and ‘Bioflavonoids’ is also discussed. Keywords
