Abstract
The theory of non-standard statistics is reviewed and placed in a (co)homological setting. Some general mathematical results are shown to be relevant. The specific heat of a two-particle molecular gas is calculated as a function of temperature and the statistics determining parameter. It shows strong behaviour close to the fermion case. The second virial coefficient is calculated by a slightly improved method and its behaviour is compared with that of the vacuum energy of a quantum field interacting with a flux tube. Keywords
