Synthesis and Characterization of DI- and Triorganotin(IV) Compounds of 3-(2-Thienyl)-2-Propenoic Acid

Abstract
A series of organotin(IV) complexes of the general formula R3SnL (R = CH3·C2H5·n-C4H9·C6H5) and R2SnL2 prepared by treating the silver salt of 3-(2-thienyl)-2-propenoic acid (2-thiopheneacrylic acid) with the respective tri- and diogranotin(IV) chlorides in (1:1) and (2:1) molar ratio and characterized by elemental analyses. IR, 1H nmr and mass spectrometry.
